社区服务与社会正义办公室（CSSJ）负责监督服务学习项目，让学生作为学习者与有需要的人一起学习。 作为伊格内蒂性格的一个重要方面，我们邀请我们的SI学生参与与他人和为他人服务，这既是他们学术要求的一部分，也是他们日常生活的一部分。 We encourage participation and commitment to social justice using the teachings of Fr. Pedro Arrupe, SJ and his influential speech "《人为他人：社会正义教育与今日行动》."

通过浸入式课程、年度圣诞活动和团结周等体验，学生们有了具体的机会，在成为他人的人的同时，把他们的信仰付诸行动。 他们有机会解决复杂的问题； they will be able to analyze social structures in light of the principles of Catholic Social Teaching, SI’s own values, and their own lived experience. 学生们在与当地非营利机构和他们所服务的不同人群互动的过程中也获得了许多技能。 通过规定的志愿服务时间，学生可以接触到直接服务、司法形成和倡导的志愿机会，所有这些都有助于课堂之外的学习。 我们希望这些经历能改变我们的内心，并最终引导我们的学生成为我们世界的变革推动者。

With the help of 帆布 (SI's 学习管理系统) and MobileServe (Volunteer Hour Tracking Website), the office of CSSJ helps students to:

• track and support for students' progress towards fulfilling their 社区服务 Graduation Requirement
