SI Celebrates National Merit Finalists

Three SI students were named finalists in the prestigious National Merit Scholar competition. Pictured left to right, with Principal Michelle Nevin Levine (left) and Assistant Principal for Academics Danielle Devencenzi Cronin '97 (right), Jordan Liu '26, Bobby Mullin '26, and Josh Lee '26 were among 15,000 students to achieve the honor nationwide out of about 1.3 million entrants.

National Merit Scholars are selected on the basis of exceptional standardized test scores and an application for recognition, which includes an essay, school endorsement, and more.

Joe Vollert '84 Inaugurated as New SI President at Mission Mass

In front of hundreds of friends, family, colleagues, and well-wishers from the St. Ignatius community and wider Bay Area, Joseph A. Vollert '84 was formally installed as SI's next president at a Mass celebrated by Jesuits West Provincial Sean Carroll, S.J. on Feb. 20, 2026, at St. Ignatius Church on the University of San Francisco campus.

Topping Off Ceremony Marks Major NLC Milestone
